Aethos is an iOS app that unifies athletic communities through "shoutouts". Users on Aethos dont post about themselves, they send text / picture / video shoutouts to other people. Athletes send shoutouts to each other, fans send shoutouts to athletes, organizations send shoutouts to athletes or other organizations - the idea is to create a culture where users recognize the accomplishments of others rather than post about themselves. Users can keep up with all the action around them on a community newsfeed, or curate their own newsfeed by following specific accounts.
